Victoria Art Gallery is located next to Pulteny Bridge in Bath. If you have the Bath Discovery card you can get free entry. The museum always has a great exhibition going on.
This weekend, I was lucky enough to see the poster art exhibition, which exceeded my expectations. The display was categorised chronologically, starting with some posters from the early 1800s. There is something quite fascinating about seeing the words that were printed in those days and comparing it to modern day posters. Without the help of digital printers and graphic design software, the artwork has a really tactile and handmade feel, like a painting does.
Definite worth visiting if you are in the area, the exhibition runs until May 2026. Even if you miss it, there will be plenty of other exhibitions a similar quality.
